Timothy W. McGaughey, CPA, is the managing partner of the firm and has been working in the accounting and finance area since his graduation from Sonoma State University in 1998. He is licensed by the California State Board of Accountancy and both the California Department of Real Estate and Department of Insurance. He has also received the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation from the Institute of Management Accountants and the Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) designation from the Insurance Institute of America. Tim is a member of both the California Society of CPAs and American Institute of CPAs. His areas of specialization include business taxation and financial accounting. Tim is a lifelong resident of Petaluma who grew up working in the family restaurant, Mister McGoo’s. Tim is an avid golfer who is a past treasurer of the Petaluma Golf & Country Club. He is also a member of the Petaluma Elk’s Lodge #901, Native Sons of the Golden West and the Marin-Sonoma Italian Club. In his spare time he enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife Elizabeth and son Avery.
