In November 1993, Michael Barto and Henry Hoss merged their CPA firms to form Barto, Hoss & Company, P.C. The firm has thirty employees, including 6 CPA’s.
Our firm is a member of the Private Companies Practice Section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and must pass their review of our quality control policies every three years.
As Certified Public Accountants we act as advisors to a variety of organizations on a wide range of financial matters. As professionals we must have a college degree, pass a rigorous national examination, and meet certain experience requirements to qualify for a state license. MIKE BARTO, CPA
Mike Barto, CPA is the managing partner at the Firm with more than 25 years of accounting experience. He was educated in the Knoxville Public Schools and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in accounting from Southern Adventist University. He is a licensed CPA in the states of Tennessee and Georgia. Mike has experience in all practice areas of the Firm located in Brainerd. Mike and the Firm serve a diverse group of clients in non-profits, industry, contractors, utilities, manufacturing, retail, restaurant, and professional groups such as law firms and medical practices. Services include full client accounting, QuickBooks set-up and consulting, tax planning and preparation, financial statement audits, business valuations along with business and practice management and consulting.
Mike serves on the boards of Orange Grove Center, Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department and is Chairman of the Finance Committee of his church. He is a member of the Chattanooga Rotary Club.
Mike and Jane, his wife, reside in East Brainerd. They have a daughter Alice, an RN, who lives in the Chattanooga area. Her husband Rob teaches high school. Their son Danny, an accountant, lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. His wife, Carrie works with a law firm.
