We also assist clients in making other financial decisions, including retirement plan funding and distributions, social security benefits, estate and gift tax planning/reporting, to name a few.
Business Services – We offer small to mid-size businesses a complete solution for their bookkeeping, payroll and tax reporting needs. We can handle all of your daily accounting needs, from posting activity to your books and records, preparing your financial statements, paying your vendor bills, and providing a full payroll service. Our tax services include payroll, income and sales tax. In addition, we offer Quickbooks set up, training, and consulting as well as business valuation and business consulting services to help our clients plan for the future and make sound financial decisions.
Maryann White-Helfferich, CPA/ABV – Partner
Maryann joined the firm in 2001 and became a member/partner in 2003. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a Bachelor of Arts in Business/Economics with a dual concentration in Accounting and Finance. She is a Certified Public Accountant and is Accredited in Business Valuation. Prior to joining the Firm, she worked for the “Big-Eight” accounting firm, Price Waterhouse, and also Clifton Gunderson LLP, the 11th largest public accounting firm in the country, where she specialized in business valuation.
Maryann received her CPA in 1991 and became accredited in business valuation in 2000. She is a member of the Institute of Business Appraisers, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants where she serves on the Relations with Colleges and Schools Committee.
Maryann specializes in the valuation of small, closely-held businesses for purposes of mergers/acquisitions, estate and gift taxes, succession planning, shareholder transactions, and divorce. She has qualified as an expert witness in Westmoreland, Indiana, Fayette, and Cambria counties. Maryann also specializes in taxes and business planning.
Maryann serves as treasurer for the Greater Latrobe / Laurel Valley Community Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Rotary Club of Latrobe and the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown Accounting Alumni Advisory Board. She is also the founding President of the Greater Latrobe Partners in Education Foundation, where she currently resides on the Board of Directors.
