Frank Haarlander, CPA, MS-Tax, MBA
Frank HaarlanderWe understand what our clients want and need. Individuals want to pay less in taxes, pay for their children’s college education, and retire comfortably. Business owners want to know how to make more money, cut costs of doing business, avoid taxes, grow their business, find inexpensive ways to fund that business growth, and retire early. If you feel that you are not receiving full value from your accountant, the best way to achieve your goals is to work with an experienced tax professional who wants to exceed your expectations.
Frank Haarlander, a CPA, is a co-founder of Keystone Financial Solutions, P.C. located in Exton, PA. His firm’s focus is to enable individuals and small business owners to succeed by ensuring that they use effective tax strategies to pay the lowest taxes allowed by law and to build wealth.
To provide new business owners with a planning guide to enable them to succeed and existing businesses to reinvent themselves, Frank and his son, Bryan, wrote the book “EMPOWER Your Business to Reach Its Full Potential, Your Road Map to Planning and Executing a Successful Business.” Having worked with hundreds of business owners and seeing the challenges they faced and mistakes made, this book provides business owners with a step-by-step guide to achieve financial success.
Frank has specialized in tax planning for over 30 years advising sole proprietorships, C and S Corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies (LLCs). His experience includes a broad range of industries including IT professionals, contractors, medical, legal, auto repair shops, consultants, real estate investors and realtors. He has purchased and sold businesses for himself and is a former franchise owner.
One of his specialties is helping individuals and business owners resolve their IRS tax issues, including helping individuals become current with their tax filings and negotiating a payment plan with the IRS to help those who owe the IRS back taxes. He co-authored the book “Fight The IRS! And Win!!! How To Pay The IRS What You Can Afford, Not What You Owe!” Frank is a member of the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers and he receives much personal satisfaction helping good people who have fallen upon difficult times to get back to living a normal life without the fear of the IRS garnishing their wages or levying their assets.
Frank was a Tax and Audit Attest Consultant for Price WaterhouseCoopers, a prestigious international accounting, tax and consulting firm, and held the Vice President of Tax or Tax Director senior tax officer position with several Fortune 500 companies, including GE Capital and Time Warner Communications.
Frank earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Rutgers University, a Masters in Accounting from the Rutgers Graduate School of Business, and a Masters in Tax Degree from Villanova University’s School of Law. He is also certified as a “Green Belt.” This designation illustrates Frank’s ability to use Six Sigma tools to improve the overall productivity and profitability of companies by identifying and resolving chronic problems and avoiding costly deficiencies. Frank has had significant training in asset protection strategies.
His contributions to the community include serving on Paoli Hospital’s Planned Giving Committee and volunteering as a SCORE mentor and presenter. SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping small business develop and achieve their goals and is supported by the U.S. Small Business Association (SBA). He has spoken before the Chamber of Commerce and business associations on various tax and business topics. He is a former adjunct professor at undergraduate accounting and graduate tax programs.
