Kirk Riley Design is a boutique interior design studio specializing in vintage residential renovation. Heather Kirk is the principal with nearly 20 years of experience remodeling homes, kitchens and baths in and around Seattle, Shoreline, Kirkland and other Puget Sound neighborhoods.
Heather is well-informed and involved in every facet of remodeling: from plans to material selections to working with contractors to overseeing the realization of the design. She’s a kitchen and bath specialist known for her attention to detail, combined with an inspired use of color and her outstanding customer service.
As a Southern California native Heather studied Business Administration at Cal State University Long Beach before completing her education at The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising/FIDM with a degree in Interior Design. She is a member of both the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) and the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
Founded in early 2004, the firm was chosen as a featured designer in the Assistance League of Southern California Design House. Heather also taught up and coming designers at FIDM before relocating to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She lives with her family in West Seattle in a 1940’s cottage-style house.
“Heather immediately understood I had a distinct design style and she always presented choices that would fit in with my taste and palette. The tiles she chose for our bathroom remodel look fresh and contemporary yet fit right in with my mid-century-aspiring-to-minimalism aesthetic. I look forward to more projects with Kirk Riley Design.”
