Knutson, Trolson & Fargher, P.S. Inc., one of the oldest Certified Public Accounting firms in the state of Washington, was started in 1956 when Fred Knutson purchased the local branch office from the Seattle firm of Michaelson, Singer. In 1968 Roger Trolson joined Fred and a partnership was formed. This partnership continued until 1974 when Brian Knutson joined his father and Roger in the partnership. The following year, 1975, Robert Fargher joined the ownership group.
In 1980 the professional service corporation of Knutson, Trolson & Fargher, P.S. Inc. was formed. Eldon Lively joined the firm as a staff accountant in January 1988 and in 2002 became a shareholder. January 1, 2016, after Robert Fargher’s retirement, Eldon Lively became the remaining shareholder of Knutson, Trolson & Fargher, P.S. Inc.
Over the years we have enjoyed a sustained growth in the number and type of clients that we serve. We have established and maintained a reputation of expertise in the areas of construction tax and accounting. In addition, we perform Review and Compilation services and produce Federal and State income tax returns for a variety of business and individual clients. In recent years, we have added trust and estate work to our areas of specialization.
Our focus continues to be on the client: providing ethical, timely and quality service.
Eldon Lively, CPA – Shareholder
Eldon joined the firm in January, 1988 as a staff accountant. In January 2002 he became a shareholder of the firm. He graduated from Walla Walla College with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting in 1986. He has experience in business and individual income tax preparation, audited, reviewed and compiled financial statement preparation, and estate and trust planning and tax preparation.
