Lawyer, mediator, professor. I wear all three hats….and love them all. Conflict resolution is my calling in life. Over three decades of developing “peacemaking” skills has provided me with an unique insight in counseling clients through difficult waters.
My law career began in 1975 after graduation from Penn State and New England Law/Boston and I’ve been practicing client-centered lawyering here in the Monmouth/Ocean County area for over 30 years. In 2001 the Ocean County Observer was kind enough to name me as “one of the best attorneys” in the county.
Divorce mediation and civil mediation are my specialties having handled over 1000 mediations during a 17 year span. But my office is a general practice office and we handle all matters from traditional divorce to real estate closings to estate work as well as any other general practice legal matter. I bring theory and practice to the conference table as I’ve taught mediation and conflict resolution to attorneys and students at Ocean County College for more than a decade. Since 2008 I have been teaching law courses in the undergraduate sociology department at Rutgers University in New Brunswick. Aside from my private practice and teaching, I was special counsel for mediation for the Township of Lakewood for a number of years and also moderated the Township’s “Let’s Talk” program. In addition, in 2011, I was appointed the Municipal Court Judge in the Boro of South Toms River and served in that capacity for four years.
So if you’re looking for “the best” at affordable prices, let’s talk. Give my office a call. We’re here to help you.
