Judd Lawrie earned his Masters Degree in Accounting in 1993 from Manchester College, and became licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Indiana. He started his career working in the tax departments of the Big Six Accounting Firm giants Coopers & Lybrand, and then Deloitte & Touche. He left public accounting to start the tax department for a distribution company that was listed on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange. In 2002, Judd and his wife Wendy (also a CPA) realized their dream, and opened a tax and accounting firm on the south side of Indianapolis. Currently, The Lawrie CPA Group assists approximately 300 small to midsized companies, and over 900 individuals with their tax and accounting needs.
