Leona received extensive training while she worked in IBM. She was responsible in corporate accounting consolidation, gross profit analysis, revenue recognition, cost accounting, inventory management and audits; she evaluated the internal controls for compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 requirements. She also served as a trusted financial adviser of the “supercomputer” products, for which she prepared business cases, provided sensitive analysis, and monitored the return investment, cash flow, and the financial health of the products.
Leona graduated with Cum Laude Honor from The University of Connecticut. She received a BS degree in a Business Administration major in Accounting in 1990. She is a licensed CPA of both New York and Connecticut.
Leona has been living in the Hudson Valley for over 21 years. She is very involved in both professional and community service organizations. She is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and member of New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA), member of Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce ( DCRCOC), Treasurer and Board of Director of Mid-Hudson Chinese Language Center. Treasurer and Board of Director of Northern Westchester Chinese School (2000 – 2002), Member of Mid-Hudson Chinese Christian Church (since 1996).
She is fluent in reading, writing and speaking in Chinese.
