A Family Legacy
Preller & Rice is and always has been a family-oriented agency. After founding the agency in the 1950’s, Alan Jay Preller worked alone for many years, until eventually he was able to bring on more team members. This included hiring his son-in-law, Lan Rice, who later become a partner in 1976. That same year, Preller’s own son, Alan Jos. Preller, also joined the business, and was soon made a partner as well. Alan Senior retired in 1986, leaving Lan and Al to carry on the family tradition of personal, professional service.

In 2008, Preller & Rice joined with the Kleinfelder Insurance Agency to form PRK Insurance. This partnership has allowed both agencies to operate more efficiently and effectively, sharing office space and staff and opening up access to a wider range of insurance carriers.
