In 1989, with a short list of loyal clients, a very young child and the typical mortgage, Bob Bauer decided it was time to start his own CPA firm. The goal was to provide top notch service while believing in and caring for people he served. Two years later, Bob was so backed up with new clients he decided he needed to hire some expert help. In walked Brian Evans, who, upon looking at the stacks of files in Bob’s office, figured he had a good shot. Bob, noticing that Brian did indeed have a pulse, hired him on the spot. In the ensuing years, Bauer Evans expanded through referrals and acquisitions of other small CPA firms. It now is one of the largest full-service CPA firms based out of Snohomish County, serving over 4,000 clients with offices in Everett and Bellevue.
Over the years, because of the trust clients had in the firm, they would ask if Bauer Evans could handle their investments. The answer was always no until 1999 when Brian found a way to make it happen. He became properly licensed and started what would become BondStreet Wealth Management, and eventually Madrona Financial Services. Madrona serves roughly 500 clients, managing well over $100 million.
Today, Bauer Evans and Madrona Financial Services provide a very unique combination of complimentary service offerings. Combined, our staff, including 15 CPAs, offer services in estate planning, trusts, business advisory, financial planning, and more, most with over 15 years of experience, and many are licensed as both CPAs and fiduciary advisors.
