Recognizing that each client has unique goals, we tailor our services to meet your specific needs. To better meet the needs of our clients, we have individualized services for clients in industries like real estate accounting, legal accounting, healthcare accounting, professional services and various consumer services. Benjamin L. Scott, CPA – Managing member
Ben has been a resident of the Charleston area all of his life. He is a graduate of Clemson University where he earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Industrial Management.
Ben has over 29 years experience in public accounting, private industry and entrepreneurship. He began his professional career in 1978 when he joined McKnight Frampton & Buskirk, CPA’s in Charleston as a staff accountant and earned his certification in 1980. Ben later accepted the assistant controllership of Ruscon Corporation, a national building contractor. In 1982, he opened a local public accounting firm that eventually serviced over 1,000 clients in 20 states. Ben sold this practice in 1996 and began working as an equity owner in a maritime service and contracting business operating in the Port of Charleston. In 2006, Ben sold his ownership in this business and launched Benjamin Scott, CPA, LLC.
Ben is an active member of his community in Mount Pleasant, SC where he resides with his wife and four children. Ben has served as an officer and on the boards of various civic organizations including Rotary Club International. He is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s, the SC Association of CPA’s, the Propeller Club of the United States and various other civic and business organizations.
