Batchelor, Tillery & Roberts, LLP was organized on November 1, 1991. Our seven partners all have “Big 4” backgrounds, and together have over 150 years of accounting experience. In addition, we have a well-trained staff consisting of approximately 25 CPAs and paraprofessionals.

Ronnie has over thirty-six years of public accounting experience, concentrating in the area of taxation over the past thirty-two years. He has extensive experience with nonprofit organizations, owner managed businesses, S Corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and high wealth individuals. Ronnie has experience with analyzing the tax impact of business acquisitions, sales and liquidations. He has worked with many individuals in the planning and implementation of retirement and estate planning strategies. Ronnie has also received the Certified Valuation Analyst designation from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. Prior to forming Batchelor, Tillery & Roberts, LLP, Ronnie was with KPMG Peat Marwick for ten years where he served as director of the Personal Financial Planning Practice for two years.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
Ronnie previously served on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the YMCA of the Triangle Area, Inc. and is a Past-President of the organization. He has served as a Deacon and an Elder at White Memorial Presbyterian Church, where he also served as the Clerk of the Session. He has also served as Treasurer, Vice President, President and Member of the Board of Directors of Carolina Country Club in Raleigh. Ronnie was an organizer, founding shareholder and a Member of the Board of Directors of CapStone Bank, a community bank located in Raleigh. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of The Medical Foundation of North Carolina, Inc., and the chairman of the organization’s Audit Committee. Ronnie has also served as a board member, treasurer and president of several other local non-profit organizations.
Ronnie received a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May of 1981.
